Unique to Girl Scouts of Northern California, our Community-Based Programs bring Girl Scouting directly to girls and gender-expansive youth in underserved communities across Northern California. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, outdoor experiences, leadership development, STEM exploration, Girl Scout traditions, and social-emotional skill building, participants gain the confidence and resilience to navigate today’s challenges and create stronger ties to their schools and communities.
Each program is facilitated by trained instructors who serve as trusted mentors and positive role models, working in partnership with community organizations.
Got Choices helps girls and gender-expansive youth in grades 6-12 build healthy social-emotional skills, confidence, leadership abilities, and strong peer relationships through interactive activities, small group discussions, and real-world learning experiences.
Over time, participants develop the skills and confidence to take on new challenges, build healthy relationships, and see themselves as leaders in their communities.

Girls thrive when they have access to safe, supportive spaces, trusted role models, and a community that believes in them. Our Community-Based Programs help meet that need by creating pathways for youth who may not otherwise have easy access to Girl Scouting.
Through these programs, participants build connection, character, and leadership skills they can carry into their schools, families, and communities.
