We're here for you! Girl Scout Staff-Led Troops offer families a flexible new way to experience Girl Scouts through professionally facilitated troop meetings led by trained Girl Scouts of Northern California staff.
Girls enjoy the same leadership, STEAM, outdoor, entrepreneurship, and community-building experiences that define Girl Scouts — with added coordination and support designed for today’s busy families.
A New Pathway Into Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts Staff-Led Troops are an additional troop model designed to expand access and support more families in participating in Girl Scouts.
Instead of relying entirely on volunteers to coordinate troop meetings, trained Girl Scouts of Northern California staff facilitate meetings and manage program logistics ensuring girls experience the full Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
This model helps meet families where they are while strengthening opportunities for girls to grow in confidence, leadership, and community.

- Hands-on, developmentally appropriate, youth-approved activities in STEAM, Outdoors, Life Skills and Entrepreneurship.
- Support for youth as they develop critical life skills and prepare to transition into adulthood.
In addition to offering a Girl Scout experience facilitated by GSNorCal staff, your child will participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, and may have the option to attend Outdoor Adventure Campout, summer camp, and other special events and workshops throughout the year.
Fremont 2026 Launch
The first Staff-Led Troop cohorts will launch in Fremont during the 2026–2027 Girl Scout year. Meetings occur twice a month every other Sunday starting in September.

- Grades 2 and 3: Sunday at 9:30am-10:45am
- Grades 4 and 5: Sunday at 11:00am-12:15pm
- Grades 2 and 3: Sunday at 1:00pm-2:15pm
- Grades 4 and 5: Sunday at 2:30pm-3:45pm
Enrollment & Fees
Enjoy the Girl Scout experience with guidance from trained staff members for just a $90 annual Girl Scout membership fee and $120 per month for eight months of programming!
Cancellation & Refund Policy: To withdraw from the program, written notice must be submitted to info@gsnorcal.org at least 7 days before your next scheduled [payment date which is the 1st of every month]. Requests received less than 7 days before your next scheduled [payment date] may not be eligible for a cancellation of the upcoming month's program fee.
Financial Assistance: Financial assistance is available for eligible GSNorCal youth participating in this program. To apply, please complete and submit the Financial Assistance Application. Please indicate in the application that you are requesting Financial Assistance for "Girl Scout Club". Please allow 5–7 business days for your application to be processed and enrolled into the program.
