Whether you’re discovering the wildlife in your own backyard, swimming in a lake for the first time at summer camp or being a citizen scientist and observing bees in your neighborhood park, every outdoor adventure grows your “I’ve got this” attitude. Once you unlock that confidence, you’ll aim as high as the stars you see outside your cabin window.
Canoeing solo across a lake. Learning to canter on a horse. Counting stars in the night sky.

You can experience all that our country has to offer, whether you’re “blasting off” at Space Camp in Alabama, taking in a Broadway show in New York City, or visiting the birthplace of Girl Scouts’ founder, Juliette Gordon Low, in Savannah, Georgia. And you can plan even bigger adventures around the world, traveling with other Girl Scouts who share your love of adventure.
Troops wanting to plan their own travel opportunities can start the process by taking Extended Troop Travel Training. EF Tours and Holbrook Travel also offer approved Girl Scout travel packages that fall within the Girl Scout guidelines that are great for troops.
