Service Unit Awards

There are a number of ways a service unit can recognize their volunteers.  Informal thank-you’s can be done throughout the year, and service unit awards like the Volunteer of Excellence Award and others listed below are another great way to show appreciation.  Service units decide on their own timeline to approve and present awards. Service units should also appoint a Recognitions Coordinator who will ensure that volunteers are recognized in their service unit.

Resources: To get started, download the Service Unit Recognitions Packet for complete information on available awards.  Make sure to visit our Volunteer Learning Portal for a short online training and helpful resources including celebration ideas, a recognitions presentation for service unit meetings, the nomination form, and more.  Our Pinterest board also has lots of easy thank you ideas.
