Camp Investment Campaigns
Did you know, spending time in nature is linked to both cognitive benefits and improvements in mood, mental health, and emotional well-being? In fact, just feeling connected to nature can provide similar benefits, regardless of how much time we spend outdoors. This is why outdoor adventures and camps are a top priority for our council.
Camp is a place where all girls have the opportunity to:
We have a remarkable opportunity to make capital improvements now that will allow us to build sustainable outdoor experiences for girls in the future. Your contribution to the Camp Investment Campaign for ongoing maintenance and capital improvements can ensure Girl Scout camps are available for outdoor adventures for years to come.
GSNorCal runs three residential camps for summer camp sessions:
Located near Santa Cruz
Located in Marin County
Located in the Sierra foothills
Your contribution to the Camp Investment Campaign will support safe program spaces for youth to unplug, relax, reconnect with nature, and build relationships with their fellow Girl Scouts.
Gifts of $25 or more will receive this year’s collectible patch that highlights Maggie’s Barn at the Chico Program Center — a large covered space ideal for all kinds of activities: messy crafts, hands on science projects, trainings, and even overnighters!
We only have a limited number of patches available, so don’t wait to donate to the Camp Investment Campaign!
P.S. Did you miss the patches from previous years? Collect them all with a donation of $100 or more while supplies last.

Camp Skylark Ranch sustained devastating damage from the 2020 CZU fires. Damage included losing electricity, the destruction of camp structures, and massive tree loss. But Camp Skylark Ranch is slowly recovering. The trees have started fuzzing out, and our work parties of Girl Scouts, volunteers, and staff work hard to remove invasive species and keep the campground free of debris. We continue to work with forest management and rebuilding experts. There are steps we can take now to support that process and make sure Camp Skylark Ranch is ready for what comes next.
Your gift of any amount to the Skylark Ranch Fund will support recovery efforts at Camp Skylark Ranch, including debris removal, infrastructure repairs, and forest management. Recovery will take time, and your donation will help GSNorCal take the necessary steps in the right direction towards restoring our beloved camp property. Thank you for your generous support!
