Join us for the Fall Take Action Program!

The Fall Take Action Program kicks off tomorrow!! We're excited to see troops learn about climate change, adopt emperor penguins, and grow their entrepreneurial skills on October 2 with EntreprenHERs in Action Day! Our Fall take Action Program page has everything your girls need to reach their business goals, including events, resources, sales materials, and more. Remind girls and parents to keep an eye on their email tomorrow for the link to open and build her digital sales page!

Resources for a Girl Scouty Autumn

From our littlest Daisies to our seasoned volunteers, Girl Scouts are out there changing the world! Here are some resources to dive into Girl Scouting this month:

Girl Scouts Change the World

Today kicks off our 11 days of action around Girl Scouts Change the World Weekend! Keep an eye out as we feature a new amazing Gold Award Girl Scout from our council on social media every day, and have your girls sign up to register for the virtual event to learn about our Higher Awards program!

New Troop=New Rewards

We want to celebrate leaders of new troops this year as we get back to in-person Girl Scouting! All volunteers who start a brand-new troop before December 31 (if you’ve already done so, this includes you!) and complete all their training and registration tasks will receive a fun patch and a $10 coupon to spend at the Girl Scout shop!

Space Science Badges for Younger Girls

Whoever we are, wherever we’re from, each of us has our own associations with the Moon, Sun, and stars. Space Science badges tap into girls’ inherent curiosity, engage their sense of wonder, and offer opportunities to practice science skills along the way. Check out these tips and resources from NASA staff member Caela Barry on exploring Space Science with your younger Girl Scouts.

Does your employer offer “Dollars for Doers"? Many companies encourage their employees to volunteer in the communities where they live and work—in turn, the employer will offer matching dollars for the hours. Inquire with your Human Resources department about your program, or check out this  list of companies that offer this kind of financial support!

Your gift of any amount to the Opportunity Fund provides financial resources for girls who live in low-income communities and/or communities recovering from local disasters (like loss of jobs due to COVID-19) to have equitable access to the sisterhood, supportive adults, and special experiences that foster belonging and connection. Give the Girl Scout Opportunity today!
