Girl Scouts of Northern California and California State Parks have teamed up to support girls, troops, and families in getting outside and exploring parks on July 13-14, 2019. All registered Girl Scouts in our council who visit a California State Park on July 13-14 are eligible earn an exclusive Girl Scouts Love State Parks patch—and the first 100 Girl Scouts to claim their patch through our online form will receive them for free!

How do I get the Girl Scouts Love State Parks patch?
Participate in the Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend on July
13/14! Then, purchase your past through GSUSA OR fill out the Patch
Request form online no later than July 22, 2019 at 11:59 PM and tell
us about your weekend to qualify for a free patch from GSNorCal. Free
patches are first-come, first-served to the first 100 members to fill
out the Patch Request form.
What is Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend?
Girl Scouts Love State Parks is a national movement aiming to get
ALL Girl Scouts into their state parks on one weekend! Girl Scouts of
Northern California girls are invited to attend any State Park on one
or both days this weekend and connect with nature by doing something
like going for a hike, attending a naturalist program, camping or
working on a Take Action project!
Is there a cost for the patch?
The patch will be available through GSUSA for a nominal fee, but the
first 100 GSNorCal Girl Scouts to claim their patch through our online
form will receive their patch for free!
How will I receive my free patch?
Patches will be available for pick up at your local GSNorCal shop in
Do I need to sign-up for Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend?
No sign-up is needed for this weekend. Girls are invited to visit any state park at their own convenience over this weekend. Stay for an hour or spend the whole weekend-it’s up to you! If you plan to attend any special programming within the park or if you’d like to camp, we suggest contacting the park ahead of time to ensure space and availability for those activities.
