Girl Scouts Discover Together offers girls in underserved and under-resourced communities opportunities to engage in STEM, environmental education, financial literacy, and community service helping them develop positive relationships, social/emotional skills, and leadership skills that will shape their futures.
This 4-12 week out-of-school-time education program uses a learn-by-doing model to supplement in-school science and brings scientific concepts to life with engaging, standards-based science and technology activities.
Program staff engage families and caregivers as volunteers and support girls’ participation in Girl Scout activities. Opportunities to interact with female role models working in STEM careers ignite girls’ interest in and understanding of STEM and how it can help make the world a better place.
As with all our programs, Discover Together fosters leadership skills that will build confidence and equip girls to succeed in life, seek challenges, and make a difference.
