Helpful Resources

Volunteer Toolkit

The Volunteer Toolkit is a comprehensive digital tool accessible via the web on your computers, smartphones, and tablets to help you have a fun and successful year with your troop!

With the VTK, you can find instructions to help the girls earn badges or complete Journeys, a Resources tab with printables and videos, the ability to build a calendar viewable by families and send messages to them, and so much more! The Volunteer Toolkit is now available for all levels and multi-level troops to manage your troop, and includes meeting plans for Daisies, Brownies and Juniors that are available to everyone!

Use this handy tip sheet to get the best out of the toolkit and get started using it. Use your Member Community login (email you used to register), and you are good to go!

Adult Screening Process

All adults who are providing supervision and counted in the Adult-to-Girl ratio must be registered members and complete the adult screening process and be cleared by GSNorCal. The volunteer screening process of an electronic background check will be initiated after an adult registers in a volunteer role.

For more information about background checks, please see the Adult Screening section of Volunteer Essentials.

Safety & Insurance

Nothing is more important within Girl Scouting than ensuring the health and safety of girls. Safety management will help you identify risks, avoid injury and illness, and help you respond to emergencies if needed.

For all Safety and Insurance related questions, please contact us at insurance@girlscoutsnorcal.org or review the Safety and Insurance section of Volunteer Essentials.
